Dan Peterson

Our guest on Tuesday was Dan Peterson, owner of Peterson Art Supplies in Rhiwbina.

Instead of the proposed interactive sketching evening, Dan entertained us with stories and anecdotes of his life and career as a reportage illustrator, including his time as a war artist in Afghanistan, on Royal Navy ships, in Bangladesh refugee camps and in the Dragon’s Heart Hospital (the Covid hospital in the millennium stadium). We learnt of his ability to produce accurate, detailed sketches in a short time. A very enjoyable evening.
