A good number of members braved a horrible wet evening to attend a demonstration by Nic Davies. Unfortunately Nic cancelled and at very short notice, Tony Batey and Paul Arnott stepped in and we had two for the price of one!!
Tony took the first session and demonstrated his technique for painting the sea, on a near complete showstopper! Tony peppered the demo with interesting nautical stories, ranging from historical facts on the vessels, anecdotes from his own time at sea, and answered questions from members (and handled the banter from Paul Arnott with aplomb)!!
After the break Paul demonstrated his skill with a digital art package. He made it look so simple and a lot of fun! His dexterity and depth of knowledge of the program was obvious and this came through as he conducted a fun filled session!
The members extend their thanks to Tony and Paul for stepping in and giving us a very enjoyable evening!
