Despite a wet and windy evening, over 40 members brought work for Gideon to critique. With his wide knowledge of art and art history, Gideon gave in-depth evaluation of the work, offering advice and encouragement to all artists. Listening to his valuable insights, I'm sure all members benefited from Gideon's gentle appraisals.
At the end of the evening Gideon chose his personal 2 favourites: first, a beguiling figurative painting by Asha Bassi, and second, Anita Raymond's bucolic depiction of grazing sheep. Congratulations to both ladies. The members of SWAS extend their thanks to Gideon, and look forward to welcoming him again.
